A Lower-Impact Fibre

The fabric
BAYU is made with TENCEL™ Lyocell, a premium wood-based fibre by Lenzing AG, known for its exceptionally smooth feel, lightweight comfort and beautiful drape.
Soft against the skin and naturally breathable, TENCEL™ Lyocell gives BAYU its signature fluid fall — creating a polished look without feeling heavy or stiff.
TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres are produced from responsibly sourced wood pulp through a resource-efficient, closed-loop process designed to recover and reuse the solvent used during production.
Where applicable, BAYU fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning the certified textile has been tested for harmful substances according to the applicable OEKO-TEX® standard.

Care
To help preserve the colour of your BAYU shawl, we recommend:
- Wash separately for the first few washes, especially dark and rich colours
- Hand wash gently in cold water
- Use a mild liquid detergent
- Do not soak for prolonged periods
- Do not bleach
- Avoid unnecessary use of fabric softener
- Do not wring or twist
- Rinse thoroughly
- Gently reshape while damp
- Dry in the shade
- Avoid contact with light-coloured garments while wet
- Iron on low heat if needed
Please note: Some colour release during the first wash can occur due to excess surface dye. This is not necessarily a sign of colour damage. Washing separately helps prevent colour transfer to other garments.
